Tryouts for our cheerleading team typically take place in late spring. Interested students should attend an informational meeting before tryouts to learn about requirements and what to expect. Make sure to practice, as we look for skills in stunting, tumbling, and dance.

Yes, there are usually costs associated with cheer gear, cheer camp, and any additional personal items. We strive to keep these costs reasonable and will provide an estimate at the informational meeting.  Cheerleaders at South Lake do not pay for uniforms, as those are school property, and compettition fees are covered by fundraising.

Cheerleading practices at South Lake are energetic and team-oriented, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and routine practice. We aim to create a supportive environment where every cheerleader can grow and shine!

No prior experience is necessary! We welcome all students who are enthusiastic and passionate about cheerleading. Our coaches are dedicated to developing athletes of all skill levels.
